Robert Black MPT, Cert MDT, Cert AIB-VR

Rob played basketball in high school and college and found himself in rehab from injuries multiple times. He decided “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!” He subsequently graduated in 1996 from the University of Utah with his Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Science, and his Master’s in Physical Therapy in 1999.

Rob obtained the challenging certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in the McKenzie Method several years later and more recently became certified in Vestibular (balance) Rehabilitation while on a 3 year hiatus in Florida with his young grandsons.

Helping people who suffer from back pain, neck pain, and headache has been his greatest satisfaction throughout his career. The highly effective McKenzie techniques he uses differ from standard therapy, and quite often his clients avoid surgery and get back to their normal lives. Rob is also an experienced therapist for many other conditions, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehab. He loves FitQuest for the ability he has to give personal, un-rushed attention.

When he’s not helping people figure out their joint issues, Rob loves spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids…especially hiking, biking, or on an adventure. He also has a love for tennis….but not so much with pickleball!
